Labor Day Recipe Ideas That Are Under 30 Minutes & Also Healthy

Labor Day weekend is finally here and now it's time to decide what meals to prepare if you're having a barbecue or just having friends and family over for lunch and dinner. Whatever the case may be you'll be off from work (3-day weekend) - which means you can sleep in, wake up late or stay up all night whatever you decide. But you'll be eating BBQ all weekend and maybe even lounging by the pool or at a beach. So before you start inviting people over I wanted to share with you some Labor Day recipe ideas that can be prepared in under 30 minutes and that are also healthy. Ingredients
1/2 c. low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp. honey
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 scallions, chopped
1 lb. chicken drumsticks
2 tbsp. Sesame seeds, for garnish
Ingredients
Cut 1/2 honeydew melon into small, thin pieces
Puree 1/2 cup of the melon pieces with
1/3 cup fresh herbs
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons lime juice
10 ounces baby arugula
Salt and Pepper
Ingredients
1 tablespoon coarse kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
3 pounds ground turkey (white and dark meat)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup diced yellow onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup diced jalapeno peppers, with seeds
1 9 -ounce jar orange marmalade (with peel)
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon chili powder
6 hamburger buns or kaiser rolls
Romaine lettuce, sliced tomato and sliced red onion, for topping
Kosher pickles, for serving
Ingredients
Split 2 medium zucchini and scoop out the seeds
Salt for taste
Combine 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 chopped tomato
1/4 cup mixed chopped parsley and dill
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 minced garlic clove
2 tablespoons olive oil
Pepper for taste
Ingredients
Cut 1 pound each yellow beefsteak tomatoes into wedges
Cut 1 pound each nectarines into wedges
2 ounces shaved ricotta salata
Salt and Pepper
Toast 2 tablespoons pine nuts
2 tablespoons olive oil
White balsamic vinegar
Ingredients
2 sheets of foil
Top each with 3 husked ears of corn
Thyme
Basil
Rosemary
Salt and pepper for taste
2 tablespoons cut-up butter
