Every time a new year rolls around I'll hear from friends and family members who make a new years resolution of getting fit and shape. But then the new year comes and you sign-up for the gym and decide that you're going to give it a shot and you end up trying it for a few weeks and then life happens and then you end up putting your fitness goals on hold. I know because it used to happen to me. But now even though I can't make it to the gym I still make sure I get fitness in daily. I wanted to show you ways that can help you stick to your fitness goals by sharing with you some fitness related recipe ideas to try out. Smoked Salmon Egg Stuffed Avocados

Ingredients

  • 4 Avocados

  • 4oz smoked salmon

  • 8 eggs

  • Salt

  • Black Pepper

  • Chili Flakes

  • Fresh dill

Beef Steak with Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli and Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 400g Broccoli

  • 400g Sweet Potato

  • 3 Cloves Garlic

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt

  • Fresh Black Pepper

  • 500g Beef Steak

  • 300g Mushrooms

  • 250g Low Fat Cream

Ginger-Beet Juice

Ingredients

  • 1 medium orange, peeled and quartered

  • 3 kale leaves

  • 1 medium apple, cut into wedges

  • 1 medium carrot, peeled

  • 1 large beet, peeled and cut into wedges

  • 1 1-inch piece peeled fresh ginger

  • Ice cubes (optional)

Soy-Glazed Salmon with Watercress Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 4 teaspoons honey

  • 2 oranges, peeled, flesh cut into segments, and juice squeezed from membranes (about 3 tablespoons)

  • Coarse salt and ground pepper

  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)

  • 1 bunch watercress (about 3/4 pound), thick ends trimmed

  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

Green Vegetable Smoothie

Ingredients

  • ½ large cucumber

  • 1 large carrot

  • 2 celery stalks

  • 1/3 cup Italian flat-leaf parsley

  • 2 handfuls of spinach

  • ¼ avocado

  • ½ apple

  • ½ frozen banana

  • 1 Tbs. pepitas (pumpkin seeds)

  • 1 Tbs. flaxseeds

  • 1 tsp. spirulina (optional if you can’t find it)

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • ice, if desired

Skinny Kale & Butternut Squash Quiche

Ingredients

  • 2 c (170g) cubed butternut squash

  • 2 c (50g) lightly packed kale leaves, finely shredded

  • ¼ c (19g) shredded mozzarella

  • 1 ¾ c (420mL) egg whites

  • 1 tsp (1g) dried basil

  • ½ tsp (1g) cayenne pepper
